About me
Hi there! I'm Lawrence. I'm a self-taught musician from Southern Ontario, Canada with a passion for music.
By day, I'm an engineer specializing in water resources. By night, I make music that expresses my inner thoughts and feelings far better than any words can.
Over time, my relationship with music has evolved into something more personal: less about perfection, more about expression. I’m drawn to sounds that have resonated with me since childhood: video game and soundtrack music. Namely, melodies that feel like they’re telling a story without words.
A lot of what I create are arrangements that re-interpret familiar music (game, soundtrack, classical, jazz, pop), and original pieces that reflect moments I don’t always know how to explain otherwise.
This space is a collection of that work. If you connect with it, I’ve made some of it available as sheet music for you to experience in your own way.
Outside of my profession and my personal music bubble, I play flute for my local volunteer concert band, spend time with loved ones, hit the gym, get my steps in, and stuffing my face with delicious food.
